Governor Kelly Directs Flags be Flown at Half-Staff in Honor of Butler County Paramedic Justin Lauppe

TOPEKA – Governor Laura Kelly, in accordance with Executive Order #20-30, on Wednesday, directed flags throughout the State of Kansas to be flown at half-staff from sunup to sundown on Thursday, May 22, 2025, in honor of Butler County paramedic Justin Lauppe, who died in the line of duty last week.

“For 14 years, Justin Lauppe was dedicated to serving his community and providing essential care to his fellow Kansans in the greatest need,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “We owe him a debt of gratitude for his selfless sacrifices. My deepest condolences go out to his loved ones.”
