Post Date:12/05/2024

TOPEKA – In accordance with Executive Order #20-30, and in recognition of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, Governor Laura Kelly on Thursday ordered flags throughout the State of Kansas to be flown at half-staff on all state buildings, grounds, and facilities from sunup until sundown on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024.

“On the anniversary of this unforgettable tragedy, we’re reminded of our service members' immense courage and sacrifice on December 7, 1941,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “As we reflect on the 83rd anniversary of Pearl Harbor, I encourage all Kansans to join me in honoring those who fought for our freedom then, and continue to defend our country now.”
