Kansas State Holocaust Commission

Governor Kathleen Sebelius has appointed twelve Kansans to the State Holocaust Commission.

Appointed to serve at the pleasure of the governor are:

  • Dr. Lauren Cohen, Topeka
  • Dr. Barry Crawford, Topeka
  • Dr. Donald Douglas, Wichita
  • Rep. Lana Gordon, Topeka
  • Dr. Mary Greenberg, Topeka
  • The Honorable Sheila Hochhauser, Manhattan
  • Bruce Levine, Lawrence
  • Loraine Lindenbaum, Lawrence
  • Rabbi Herbert Mandl, Shawnee Mission
  • Ragen Murray, Topeka

The Kansas State Holocaust Commission serves to assist in the organization of commemorations in memory of the victims of the Holocaust, to help Kansas strive to overcome prejudice and inhumanity through education about the Holocaust and vigilance and resistance against bigotry and tyranny, and to encourage Kansans to rededicate themselves to the principle of equal justice for all people.
