Sebelius appoints Lawrence resident to Kansas Arts Commission Governor Kathleen Sebelius has appointed Grant Glenn to the Kansas Arts Commission to serve a three-year term. “Art not only celebrates our past but it shares our culture with future generations. This commission ensures that art flourishes in all corners of our state,” said Sebelius. Glenn, Lawrence, holds a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and a juris doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. Glenn has been a partner at the law firm of Woner, Glenn, Reeder, Girard & Riordan in Topeka for more than 15 years. The mission of the Kansas Arts Commission is to provide opportunities for the people of Kansas to experience, celebrate and value the arts throughout their lives. The commission serves artists, nonprofit organizations, schools and government agencies through grants to support the arts in communities. The commission also provides seminars, workshops and one-on-one consulting in business development, grant writing, strategic planning, marketing and other areas of nonprofit arts management.# # # |
