Mentoring training sessions to be held in Junction City, Kansas City Kansas Mentors will host regional training sessions in Junction City on April 10th and Kansas City on April 11th, Governor Kathleen Sebelius and Coach Bill Snyder said today. “In order to achieve our goal of providing every young Kansan with access to a mentor, we must provide quality training to our mentoring partners,” Sebelius said. Kansas Mentors, a statewide mentoring initiative led by Sebelius and Snyder, will host the training session. Coach Bill Snyder will serve as the keynote speaker for the both events. The Junction City training will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott and the Kansas City training will take place at the Jack Reardon Civic Center. “Through extensive input from our mentoring partners, we’ve been able to develop a curriculum for these trainings that will benefit both new and established programs,” Coach Snyder said. These trainings are appropriate for anyone interested in mentoring including nonprofit managers and board members, professional and development staff, people hoping to start mentoring programs, and others from the nonprofit sector.
