Sebelius appoints diverse group of Kansans to
Commission on Emergency Planning and Response

Governor Kathleen Sebelius has appointed a diverse group of Kansans to the Commission on Emergency Planning and Response.

“Natural disasters and emergencies can occur without warning in Kansas,” Sebelius said. “Proper planning and preparation can make a dramatic difference in those situations. This commission works to make sure that citizens in every community are safe and secure.”

Appointed to four year terms:

  • Randall Duncan, Wichita
  • Patricia Eakes, Topeka
  • James Heitschmidt, Hutchinson
  • Clayton Huseman, Topeka
  • Kevin Moles, Lawrence
  • Jim Ogle, Topeka
  • Warren Porter, Winfield
  • John Prather, El Dorado
  • Paul Sasse, Independence
  • Ken Schremmer, Hoisington
  • Jack Taylor, Emporia
  • Elizabeth Ticer, Olathe

The Commission on Emergency Planning and Response facilitates and coordinates efforts to mitigate, prepare, respond and recover from emergencies and disasters in Kansas.
