Sebelius commends The University of Kansas Hospital
Named top five for patient care in the nation

The following statement is from Governor Kathleen Sebelius:

“Over the past several years The University of Kansas Hospital leaders and staff have focused on providing the finest patient care in the country.

“This recognition from the national University HealthSystem Consortium shows the success of their efforts. The University of Kansas Hospital has been named one of the top five institutions in the nation for quality of patient care.

“Kansans are fortunate to have access to such high quality medical care.

“Their continued emphasis on training new medical students and advancements in life-saving research further demonstrate that the University of Kansas is a perfect choice for a National Cancer Institute designation.

“As a state, we will continue to work with the Hospital to bring more medical students to Kansas; place doctors in every Kansas community; and open the doors of affordable healthcare to all.

“Congratulations to Bob Page, the Board and the entire staff of The University of Kansas Hospital.”
