Sebelius appoints Robert Regnier to the Governor Kathleen Sebelius has appointed Robert Regnier as a member of the University of Kansas Hospital Authority, succeeding Eric T. Jager whose term expired. “Robert’s strong ties to his community and experience in managing large organizations will be strong assets to this board,” Sebelius said. “His expertise will assist the board in bringing resources to the KU Hospital to help train more doctors and offer a diverse clinical training experience while continuing to make Kansas a destination for medical students and new physicians.” The University of Kansas Hospital Authority is the public oversight body that governs the operations of the hospital at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Regnier graduated from Kansas State University in 1970 with a degree in economics before earning his master’s degree in finance from the University of Missouri Kansas City. For nearly two decades, Regnier worked for Boatmen’s First National Bank, becoming an executive vice president with the company in 1982. Regnier left Boatman’s in 1989 to assume his current role as Chairman, President and CEO of Blue Valley Ban Corp and the Bank of Blue Valley. Active in his community, Regnier has held several civic positions over the years. Currently, Regnier sits on the Johnson County Community College Foundation Board; the University of Kansas Edward’s Campus Board of Advisors; the Greater Kansas City Chamber Johnson County Leadership Council; the Community Foundation of Johnson County Board; the Union Station Kansas City Board. He also serves in other volunteer and leadership capacities. He and his wife, Ann McKee, live in Leawood and have three grown children. Regnier’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation. # # # |
