Lt. Governor launches web site: www.ltgovernor.ks.gov The Office of Lieutenant Governor Mark Parkinson has launched a new web site, www.ltgovernor.ks.gov. The new site gives visitors access to more information and also increases accessibility for users with disabilities. “To make a positive difference in our state, I need to be able to hear from Kansans and share with them the work we’re doing,” Parkinson said. A key feature of the new web site is Parkinson’s road journal, where readers can follow Parkinson’s travels through Kansas. “As I travel across the state, I find that there are a lot of exciting things happening in Kansas from homegrown businesses expanding and adding jobs, to rural communities revitalizing their downtowns,” Parkinson said. “These are stories of communities coming together for the common good that I look forward to sharing on my web site.” Topics of great importance to Parkinson are also featured on the web site including efforts to increase renewable energy production in Kansas, connecting volunteers with service opportunities in their community, and the state’s pursuit of the National Bio and Agri-Defense Facility (NBAF). Information on the history of the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, a biography of Parkinson, press releases, and audio recordings of the Lt. Governor’s monthly column are available on the web site as well. # # # |
