Governor makes reappointments to boards and commissions

Governor Kathleen Sebelius has reappointed four Kansans to the various state boards and commissions on which they serve.

“Our government couldn’t function without the men and women who take time out of their busy schedules to serve their fellow Kansans.  I want to thank those I’m reappointing today for their continued willingness to serve our state,” Sebelius said.

Roger A. Staab, Hays, was reappointed to the Kansas Real Estate Commission to serve another four-year term.  The commission licenses and regulates realtors throughout the state.

Michael L. Ryan, Junction City, was reappointed to the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services to serve a four-year term. The board works to ensure quality out-of-hospital care is available throughout Kansas by developing standards, certifying practitioners and educating the public.

Dr. Joseph B. Sullivan, Wichita, was reappointed to the Board of Examiners in Optometry, which administers and enforces optometry law and grants optometry licenses.  His reappointment is for a three-year term.

Arneatha Martin, Wichita, was reappointed as a member of the Kansas Health Policy Authority for another four-year term. The KHPA was created to develop and maintain a coordinated health policy agenda for the State of Kansas.
