Sebelius pleased with tax reduction for business,
help for laid-off workers

Governor Kathleen Sebelius issues the following statement with the passage of SB 83:

“I am pleased legislators have joined me in supporting this significant tax reduction for business owners, and combined it with additional assistance for Kansas workers and their families who are facing the loss of a job. I have asked the Secretary of Labor to work to lower the unemployment taxes for the next quarter, which begins April 1st, so every business owner in Kansas has an immediate tax reduction.”
