27th District Judicial Nominating Commission recommends two
Hutchinson residents to the Governor

The twenty-seventh district judicial nominating commission has submitted two names to Governor Kathleen Sebelius for the District Magistrate in the 27th District, which covers Reno County. They are: Randall Howard McEwen and Cheryl I. Allen, both of Hutchinson.

Whomever the Governor selects will complete the two-year, unexpired term of the Honorable Joseph McCarville who was recently sworn in as the 27th District Judge. After which, the Governor’s selection will be able to run for reelection, should they so choose.

Governor Sebelius will make her decision before the deadline on March 9th, 2007.
