Governor appoints Topekan to Information Network of Kansas To ensure Kansans have ready access to electronic information about state agencies and services, Governor Kathleen Sebelius has appointed David King to the Information Network of Kansas. “Kansans deserve to have easy access to government information, and the effective use of the Internet should be a priority for all state agencies,” said Sebelius. The mission of the Information Network of Kansas is to provide Kansans with electronic access to information on state departments and agencies. King, Topeka, graduated from William Jewell College with bachelor’s degrees in communications and religion. King went on to earn a master’s degree in library and information science. Currently King serves as digital branch & services manager for the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library. He has written several books and journal articles on the field of information technology, and is a frequent presenter at national information technology conferences. Additionally, Dan Yunk, Manhattan, was reappointed to the board. Both individuals will serve a three-year term. # # # |
