Governor issues statement; directs flags to be flown at half-staff
in honor of President Gerald Ford

In honor of President Gerald Ford, Governor Kathleen Sebelius has directed flags be flown at half-staff through January 25, 2007.

Governor Sebelius said, “President Ford was called on by our nation to heal, serve and lead.  He did so with integrity and courage.  I encourage all Kansans to join our nation in remembering his legacy and in praying for his family.”

President Ford served the United States as the 38th President.
