Governor reappoints area residents to To help ensure access to first-class libraries throughout the region, Governor Kathleen Sebelius has reappointed several area residents to the Southeast Kansas Regional Library System. “Libraries are centers for learning and community gathering places. We have an excellent network of libraries throughout our state and we want to encourage cooperation between those libraries and the State Library to help enhance services available to local patrons,” said Sebelius. The Southeast Kansas Regional Library System consults and advises the state librarian and governor regarding policies and services that will best promote and advance the use and usefulness of the state library and its extension services in Southeast Kansas. The following individuals were reappointed to serve four-year terms:
