Governor signs bill allowing Sherman County vote on road improvements

Governor Kathleen Sebelius signed a bill today allowing residents of Sherman County to vote on a plan for street and road improvements.

The measure, HB 2698, allows Sherman County residents to vote on a special sales tax to make street and road improvements within their county.

It will take effect after publication in the Kansas Register. So far in the 2006 Session, Sebelius has signed three bills into law and has vetoed none.
