19 September 2005 Board provides Kansans with accountability, Governor says Ensuring accountability, Governor Kathleen Sebelius announced today she has appointed David Hoffman to the Kansas Board of Technical Professions. He will serve a four-year term. The Kansas Board of Technical Professions works to register and license engineers, architects, surveyors and landscape architects to ensure they are qualified to work on projects in Kansas. “Architects, engineers, and surveyors play a vital role in building projects throughout Kansas. It’s important we have licensed and well-trained technical professionals, and this board ensures that accountability,” Governor Sebelius said. Hoffman, Wichita, is principal, senior vice president and project manager/project architect at Law/Kingdon, Inc. He has completed more than 60 major architectural projects across the United States. He has served on the American Institute of Architects, Kansas in a variety of positions including now serving as Kansas Disaster Assessment Response Team and chair of the Fellowship Committee. Currently, Hoffman is a board member of Professional Advisory Board for the School of Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Kansas. |
