Governor appoints Pratt resident to help protect land buyers, sellers
Sebelius announces reappointment to Abstracters’ Board of Examiners

Governor Kathleen Sebelius announced today her reappointment of Jean M. Tharp to the Abstracters’ Board of Examiners.

“Jean’s efforts are to be commended, working to ensure that all abstracters are fully qualified, in order to protect both land buyers and sellers,” Governor Sebelius said. “I am pleased she is willing to continue her service to the people of Kansas.”

The Abstracters’ Board of Examiners licenses abstracters to protect public land in transactions.

Tharp, Pratt, works for Centennial Abstract of Pratt, Inc., where she manages bookkeeping, title insurance, customer relations and abstracts. She serves on the Pratt Area Chamber of Commerce, Business and Professional Women, the County Board of Realtors and the Kansas Land Title Association.
