21 June 2005 Governor Sebelius appoints three to Real Estate Appraisal Board Governor Kansas Sebelius today announced her appointments of Douglas Haverkamp and Bruce Fitzsimons to the Kansas Real Estate Appraisal Board. Mike McKenna was reappointed. Each will serve a three-year term. The Real Estate Appraisal Board regulates real estate appraisers’ licenses. “Kansans count on appraisers’ work to be fair and accurate,” Governor Sebelius said. “I am pleased we have three individuals with years of appraisal experience willing to serve, who understand the importance of this work.” Haverkamp, Manhattan, is the vice president of commercial lending at Commerce Bank. He is a state certified general real property appraiser. Haverkamp has also worked as an appraiser for the Farm Service Agency and the Farmers Home Administration with the United States Department of Agriculture. Fitzsimons, Overland Park, has over 14 years of experience in residential appraisal and mortgage lending. He is currently the chief appraiser and vice president of credit administration at the First National Bank of Olathe. For his outstanding contributions to the appraisal industry, Fitzsimons is the recipient of the 1994 Thavis Arnote Award by the Kansas City Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. McKenna, Jennings, is an appraiser at McKenna Appraisal Services, Inc., since 1989. Prior to 1989, he was a senior appraiser at Farm Credit Bank of Wichita. He is a certified general real property appraiser in Kansas. Although he has worked in Kansas since 1977, he is also a registered appraiser in Colorado and Nebraska. |
