23 May 2005 Governor announces St. Paul Mission Township will receive federal funding The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has announced St. Paul Mission Township Fire Department has been selected to receive funding in the seventh round of the Fire Prevention and Safety grants, also part of the Fiscal Year 2004 Assistance to Firefighter Grant program. I am pleased St. Paul received this award, Governor Sebelius said. It is critical our departments are equipped with the necessary resources to protect our communities. St. Paul Mission Township Fire Department will receive $9,000 for fire prevention. The Fire Prevention and Safety Program prioritizes projects focusing on the prevention of fire-related injuries to children. Many of these awards represent innovative solutions for the delivery of fire prevention activities. The seventh round of Fire Prevention and Safety granted $4,825,127 to help address fire prevention and safety issues with a focus toward the high-risk target groups of children, seniors, and firefighters. |
