Governor recognizes State Employees

Governor Sebelius will recognize all federal, state and local government employees as part of Kansas Public Service Recognition Week, May 1-7.

On Monday, May 2, at 1:30 p.m., Governor Sebelius will sign a proclamation honoring public service.

“The State of Kansas relies on dedicated federal, state and local employees who provide a wide array of important services. Without the performance of these employees, Kansans would be deprived of many needed services,” Governor Sebelius said. For the past three years, Governor Kathleen Sebelius has proposed a raise for all state employees in her budget.

On Tuesday, May 3, Governor Sebelius will tour several different state agencies and visit with employees. The tour will begin at 2:00 p.m., at the Curtis Building.
