Governor Sebelius appoints Hays attorney to Racing and Gaming Commission

Governor Kathleen Sebelius announced the appointment of Glenn R. Braun to the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission. The Senate has confirmed Braun to a four-year term.

The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission protects the integrity of the racing and gaming industry through enforcement of Kansas laws.

“Glenn’s years of legal experience, and his strong ethics and community involvement make him well qualified to serve as objective member of the Racing and Gaming Commission,” Governor Sebelius said. “He makes a great addition to this group.”

Braun, Hays, is the City of Hays prosecutor and a managing partner with Glassman, Bird, Braun & Schwartz, L.L.P. A graduate of Kansas State University and Washburn University School of Law, Braun has worked as a partner of the law firm in Hays since 1984. He has also served on the board of directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, St. John’s Rest Home Endowment and Northwest Kansas Community Corrections Program.
