Governor Sebelius appoints Wichita resident to the Kansas Lottery Commission

Governor Kathleen Sebelius has announced her appointment of Joni J. Franklin-Breitenbach to the Kansas Lottery Commission for a four-year term.

The Kansas Lottery Commission polices lottery activity in the state, consults and advises the Executive Director in establishing policy and approves contracts and budgets.

“The Kansas Lottery provides an important source of funding for many of our state’s economic development initiatives. These initiatives create jobs and help our economy, so it is important that we have good leadership at the Lottery,” Gov. Sebelius said.

Joni Franklin-Breitenbach, Wichita, is an independent practitioner for Alexander, Casey, Dwyer, McPherson & Franklin. Franklin-Breitenbach is a graduate of Kansas State University and of the University of Kansas School of Law. She has worked as an associate attorney for Prochaska & Scott, as a senior associate attorney at Render Kamas and as an attorney and partner of Alexander, Floodman & Casy, Chtd. She is also pro-bono attorney with Wichita Lawyers Who Care and is a trustee for the Kansas Bar Foundation.
