Governor Sebelius Appoints one to Advisory Committee on Trauma

Governor Kathleen Sebelius has announced her appointment of Elaine K. Becker to the Advisory Committee on Trauma.

The Advisory Committee on Trauma advises the Secretary of Health and Environment on the development and implementations of a statewide trauma system.

“It is critical our health professionals are well prepared to respond to accidents when they occur,” Gov. Sebelius said. “I appreciate the work of this valuable advisory committee.”

Becker, Centralia, is the Hospital Nursing Executive at Community Hospital Onaga. She has worked at the hospital since 1976, has been facility director, director of nursing, patient care coordinator and a staff nurse. From 1967 to 1969, Becker served as a medic in the United States Air Force. She will serve a four-year term.
