Federal Paul Coverdell National Forensic Sciences Improvement Act (NFSIA)
Purpose NFSIA provides funding to improve the quality, timeliness and credibility of forensic science services for criminal justice purposes. The NFSIA program funds crime laboratories and medical examiner's offices based on population and crime statistics.
