Federal Family Violence Prevention And Services Grant (FVPSA)

Federal Family Violence Prevention And Services Grant (FVPSA)
Purpose To prevent incidents of family violence and to provide immediate shelter and related assistance for victims of family violence and their dependents in order to prevent future incidents.
Eligible Applicants Funds are available to support community-based not for profit organizations whose primary purpose is to operate programs and shelters for victims of domestic violence and their dependents and provide counseling, advocacy and self-help services to victims and their children. All programs must be accredited by the Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence. Federal guidelines require a 20% non-federal cash match for existing programs and a 35% non-federal cash match for new programs.
