Prevention And Services Grant (FVPSA) |
| Purpose |
To prevent incidents of family violence and to provide
immediate shelter and related assistance for victims of family violence and their dependents
in order to prevent future incidents. |
| Eligible Applicants |
Funds are available to support community-based not for profit organizations
whose primary purpose is to operate programs and shelters for victims of domestic violence and
their dependents and provide counseling, advocacy and self-help services to victims and their
children. All programs must be accredited by the Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic
Violence. Federal guidelines require a 20% non-federal cash match for existing programs and
a 35% non-federal cash match for new programs. |
