Shelby Smith
Former Lieutenant Governor of the State of Kansas (1975 - 1979)
Shelby Smith served as the 39th Lieutenant Governor of the State of Kansas. Mr.
Smith was a Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He received a B.S.
degree from the University of Kansas and a M.S. degree in Banking and Finance
from New York University. He would later work as an FBI agent, the Chief of
Security at Boeing Wichita, an investment banker, a legislator, a lobbyist,
a Kansas Secretary of Administration, and the Lieutenant Governor. Shelby
currently lives with his wife in Wichita. He remains active in the community
and with the legislature.
