Thomas R. Docking was elected 41st Lieutenant Governor of Kansas.

Thomas R. Docking received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 1976 and his Juris Doctor (JD) degree and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees, also from the University of Kansas, in 1980.  He served one term as Lieutenant Governor, beginning in 1983.  Currently, an attorney at Law Offices of Morris, Laing, Evans, Brock & Kennedy, Chartered, he practices in the areas of taxation, business and estate planning, and banking and commercial law. He has represented individuals, businesses, commercial banks, and municipal governments in matters including environmental law, property taxation, probate, and securities law and business litigation. Tom has practiced before state and federal courts, administrative tribunals and the Internal Revenue Service.  Docking is a member of the Board of Directors of several state and local charities and community service organization as well as two commercial banks.  He is also frequently a lecturer and a panel member at taxation and estate planning seminars. He makes his home in Wichita.
