John William Crutcher
Former Lieutenant Governor of the State of Kansas (1965 - 1969)
John William Crutcher was elected 35th Lieutenant Governor of Kansas.
John Crutcher was born in Ensign, Kansas in 1916. He went on to receive
his B.S. degree from the University
of Kansas. Crutcher also served
in the U.S.
Navy during WWII. He holds memberships in many organizations
such as the Veterans of Foreign
Wars, Elks, American
Legion, Moose, Shriners,
and Masons. Before
becoming lieutenant governor, Crutcher served in the Kansas
House of Representatives from 1953-1957. He also served as
the U.S. Postal Rate Commissioner from
1982-1993. He currently spends his time between a home in North Carolina
and Hutchinson.
