Project Childsafe

We are dedicated to ensuring the safety of all Kansans, especially children, and Project ChildSafe is a great program that does just that. Project ChildSafe is a nationwide initiative whose purpose is to promote safe firearms handling and storage practices among all firearms owners through the distribution of safety information and free gun safety kits. The safety kits include: a cable-style gun locking device, lock installment instructions and safety booklet.

Leadership and Issues

Project ChildSafe’s goals are to teach gun owners how to safely handle and properly store firearms in the home to prevent tragic accidents among children and to raise greater awareness among the nation’s gun owners. In the last four years, Project ChildSafe has distributed more than 35 million safety kits across the country.

To help Project ChildSafe achieve its goals, we have made it possible for you to request safety kits directly through our website.  To request a kit, click here.

To get a Project ChildSafe safety kit or to help promote the safe and responsible use and storage of firearms through Project ChildSafe, please click on the following link to access Project ChildSafe’s Website: http://www.projectchildsafe.org/.
